Our first ever RESA (Real Estate Stagers Association) Conference was held in Las Vegas this past January and it was sold out! Dubbed ‘The Staging Industry’s Jackpot!’, it was a 3 day conference filled with networking, speakers, breakout sessions, more networking, and best practices of getting homes SOLD!

All of the speakers, including Matthew Finlason and Bethany Souza from HGTV’s  ’The Stagers’ and ‘Designed to Sell’ were in the house the energy was incredible!

All of the presenters were excellent.  There were vendor  booths, great food and a fun time meeting face-to-face with Active Rainers and Facebook friends – very uplifting! The conference allowed us an opportunity to come together and share our stories, successes and what works in our business whether it be here in the U.S., Canada, Australia, or even in South Africa … yes, Staging is world wide!

The conference gave me a clear vision of what we as Stagers and Realtors want to achieve in our businesses, such as whether we want to own or rent our furniture, pricing, homeowner and agent concerns about whether ‘Staging’ works.  I also learned that Investors have started coming back in to the market in California, buying properties.  As a Realtor, too, this is a very good sign of the housing market beginning to turn the corner.  And, what happens on the west coast of the country eventually travels to the East Coast.
